Once upon a time, I wanted to lose weight. I learned everything about it – the steps, the tricks, all the things that should help. I tracked every calorie, ate less than I wanted, and did activities I didn’t really enjoy. I liked sitting and watching TV or playing video games, but I had to make myself move. I lost 105 pounds by forcing myself. Then, for five years, I kept it off by being super disciplined.

But something changed after I lost weight. Those five years I was trying to keep it off were hard. I became afraid of eating the foods I liked because I thought they’d make me gain weight again. Even on vacation, I worried about gaining weight. Suddenly, I was too skinny, and people made fun of me. I looked weak, with barely any muscle. I always wanted muscles, but I couldn’t gain them because I was too scared to eat more because in my mind that meant becoming overweight again.

Last year, I discovered an easier way to manage fitness and food. I stopped thinking too much about food. I didn’t force myself to eat things I didn’t like or eat less than I wanted. I love food, and I enjoy eating it. I changed how I saw myself, and my mind changed my behavior. I overcame my fear of eating more and wanted to build muscle.

So, I started gaining weight to build muscle. I spent last year gaining weight. Now I let my subconscious mind help me lose the fat I gained and reveal new muscles. It’s not like before when I counted every calorie and forced myself to do things. I only track my weight and take progress pictures now. I don’t weigh food or force myself to do anything I don’t want to. I eat and move how I want, and amazingly, it’s working. I naturally want to move more now. I walk a lot, but I enjoy it. It’s not a forceful thing. I do what I want, and still, I’m losing weight. It’s easy, which surprises me, but it’s working because I’m doing what feels right, all thanks to my subconscious mind helping me turn my new beliefs into reality.
